Our Daily Bed Rate Policy
Little Brook Nursing Home believes in transparency when it comes to fees and charges.
Our Daily Bed Rates are "All Inclusive." That is, there are no hidden, surprise additional monthly charges for Supplies, Services or Equipment your loved one may require.
Our Daily Bed Rates include Supplies, Services and Equipment that other nursing homes may not include in their Daily Bed Rate. Please discuss this significant difference with us and other facilities in your review of nursing homes.
Private Pay, All-inclusive Daily Bed Rates For 2010 (effective January 1, 2010)
Examples of some of the Supplies, Services and Equipment covered under our Daily Bed Rates are presented below:
Supplies Provided at No Extra Charge
- Personal Hygiene Items (including some over the counter medicines)
- Nutritional Supplements
- Tissues and Toilet Paper
- Gloves
- Incontinence Products (including diapers, wipes, etc.)
- Non-presctiption Creams, Lotions and Shampoos
Services Provided at No Extra Charge
- Free Laundry Service
- No Charge for Cable TV Connection
- Telephone Access at the Bedside (charges through local telco)
- Complimentary Hand Feeding
- Blood Glucose Testing
- Social Work Counseling
Equipment Provided at No Extra Charge
- Standard Wheelchairs and Geri-chairs
Basins, Bed Pans, Bedside Commodes
- Canes and Walkers
- Oxygen Concentrators
- Pressure Relieving Mattresses
- High Definition LCD Personal Television Set (with DVD Player) at Bedside
Items which may incur charges typically paid by Insurances include:
- Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapies are billed to Medicare, but may incur a co-pay
- Lab work and X-rays are billed to Medicare, but may incur a co-pay
- Pharmacy billed separately; Most insurances accepted
- Ambulance or Ambulette transportation is usually an extra charge unless it is part of a hospital admission process
